ATLANTA, Ga. – The Great South Athletic Conference announced the women's tennis Player of the Week for all matches played through March 30 – April 5 and, following voting by the league sports information directors, Maddie Hoffman of Agnes Scott captured the weekly honor.

Hoffman, a freshman, led the Scotties to two victories on the week, going undefeated in four matches without dropping a set. Against defending GSAC regular season champions Salem College, Hoffman rolled to wins in doubles and singles, winning 8-3 at the No. 2 doubles spot, and 6-3, 6-2 over Ashley Koehler at the No. 2 spot in singles to lead the Scotties to a 6-3 win. Against Guilford College, Hoffman once again won both of her matches in convincing fashion, winning 8-1 in doubles and 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles in the 9-0 sweep of the Quakers.
The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
