ATLANTA, Ga. – The Great South Athletics Conference announced the spring sports Players of the Week for contests played March 30 – April 6 and, following voting by the league sports information directors, Agnes Scott's Anne Rinaldo claimed Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

Junior Anne Rinaldo (pictured at right) picked up four wins over Wesleyan on Saturday. In the first match, Anne and sister Claire defeated Lauren Mitchell and Fangjie Wu 8-0 at number one singles. Rinaldo went on to defeat Cayla Burroughs at number three singles 6-2, 6-2. In the second match of the day, The duo picked up another 8-0 win over Mitchell and Wu. Rinaldo then defeated Akari Nobu 8-3 at number four singles. The wins are the fourth consecutive for Rinaldo in both singles and doubles.
The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
