Scotties Set to Make 5th NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament Appearance

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA released the selections for the 2013 Division III Women's Tennis Championships and Agnes Scott is set to make their 5th appearance after earning the automatic qualifying spot from the GSAC.

The Scotties will face Trinity (Texas) University in the opening round of the NCAA tournament on Friday May 10 at Emory University at 10 a.m.  The winner of the match will go on to face the fourth-ranked Emory Eagles. 

A total of 50 teams were selected for the NCAA tournament. Agnes Scott and Trinity both received an Automatic Qualification (AQ) after winning their respective conference championships. The marks the fifth consecutive year that Agnes Scott has advanced to the tournament.

The winners of the second-round matches will play each other in the third round of the tournament on Sunday, with the victor advancing to the May 20th quarterfinals of the Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The Scotties will play Friday at 10 a.m. at the SAAC tennis courts, 1946 Starvine Way
Decatur, GA 30033. To access the courts take Clairmont Road and turn onto Starvine Way. The courts will be on your right, the parking deck will be on your left
