ATLANTA, Ga. - Poor weather in the region this weekend led to a slew of GSAC softball and tennis postponements. In all, only one league tennis match and one conference softball game were able to be completed in the dreadful conditions.
On the tennis courts, the mid-week match between Huntingdon and Spelman was the only completed league contest, with the Hawks topping the Jaguars 8-1.
Huntingdon also picked up a non-conference 5-3 victory over the University of Mobile while Trinity Washington dropped their only two matches of the week.
On the softball diamond, only Agnes Scott and Wesleyan were able to complete a GSAC contest with the Scotties topping the Pioneers 23-0. Game two of their doubleheader was halted and will be resumed when Agnes Scott makes the trip to Wesleyan.
Huntingdon swept a non-conference doubleheader over Judson to go 2-0 on the week while, up north, Finlandia continues to pile up victories, registering four more in a perfect week for the Lions. Salem, Covenant and Trinity Washington were each swept in non-league doubleheaders.
