Nadeau (pictured at right), from Madawaska, Maine had a strong start to her collegiate career for Maine-Presque Isle, posting four goals at the Husson University Classic on the season's opening weekend. Nadeau, a freshman forward playing in her first college game, scored her first goal against Rivier University. That goal, just 20 minutes into her collegiate career would tie the score at 1-1 in a hard-fought contest that the Owls would eventually drop 5-1. In her next match, the rookie would single-handedly dismantle the Wheelock College defense, torching the wildcats for three goals in a 4-1 victory. Nadeau would tally the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute of play and tack on another spectacular goal with 5 minutes remaining in the match. Nadeau scored her 4 goals on only 7 shots on goal during the two-game Tournament.
The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
