MACON, Ga. - The Wesleyan College soccer team will host its second annual Kick ALS promotion night on Tuesday, October 8, when they host Toccoa Falls College at the Mathews Athletic Complex at 7:00pm.
In addition to the soccer game, it will be a great night of creating awareness about the devastating disease, which is often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. As part of the evening's programming, the members of the Wesleyan College soccer team will be wearing jerseys specially designed for the game that will be auctioned off in the week leading up to the event. All proceeds earned from the autographed jersey sales will be donated to the Georgia Chapter of the ALS Association.
In order to bid on the jerseys, you will need to Like the Wesleyan College Soccer Facebook page. Each player's jersey will be listed separately on the Facebook page so that you can bid by using the comment line. The highest bid will be the last comment left under the player's name. The auction will begin on Tuesday, Oct 1 and will run through Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 12:00pm. The opening bid for the jerseys will start at $12.
There will be posters with ALS facts hung near the bleachers, and both teams will release balloons in memory of those we have lost to ALS prior to the start of the game.
