INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After earning the school's first-ever women's basketball conference championship this weekend, Pine Manor learned that it will play Tufts in the program's first NCAA Championship appearance on Friday.
Tufts will host first and second round games on March 6-7 in a pod that also includes the Empire 8 and Liberty League champions St. John Fisher and Skidmore.
The Gators earned the Great South Athletic Conference's (GSAC) automatic berth after defeating Agnes Scott 65-54 in the championship game on Sunday for the college's first conference title.
Tufts captured its second-consecutive NESCAC title on Sunday with a 68-52 victory over Bowdoin. This is Tufts fourth NCAA Championship appearance in a row. Last year, the Jumbos made a deep run making it all the way to the Final Four.

The sixty-four team field was selected by the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball committee and announced Monday afternoon. The teams will compete with hopes of playing in the NCAA DIII Women's Basketball Championship in Grand Rapids, Mich. on March 20-21.
