ATLANTA, Ga. – The Great South Athletic Conference announced the women's basketball Player of the Week for all games played January 12 – 18 and, following voting by the league sports information directors, Rebecca Campbell of Maine-Presque Isle earned the weekly award.

Campbell (pictured at right) scored a career high 23 points against Vaughn College and also had 16 rebounds to once again garner another double-double. Campbell has 11 double-doubles in points and rebounds in the Owls last 11 games. The GSAC's leading rebounder grabbed 52 rebounds in three games on the week (17.3 per contest), including 19 against SUNY-Canton and 17 against Vermont Tech. The 5'8 senior scored 48 points in the 3 games (16 points per game), while also passing out 8 assists, blocking 7 shots and snaring 3 steals as well.
The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
