ATLANTA, Ga. - The Great South Athletic Conference has announced the women's basketball Player of the Week for games played November 25 - December 1 and, following voting by the league's sports information directors, Salem's Satavia Taylor won the honor.
GSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Satavia Taylor of Salem
Satavia Taylor, a senior from Chicago, Ill., had 35 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals while shooting 59% from the field to lift Salem to a 30 point victory over Peace College over the Thanksgiving Break.
The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
