ATLANTA - The Great South Athletic Conference announced the spring sports Players of the Week for contests played April 4 – 10 and, after voting by the league sports information directors, Agnes Scott teammates Casey Arnold (player) and Molly Baker (pitcher) swept the softball Player of the Week awards.
GSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week – Molly Baker of Agnes Scott
Molly Baker pitched 12.2 innings over the week, 10.1 of those innings in conference play. In conference play, Baker had a 1.39 ERA. She recorded 10 strikeouts, allowed 6 hits, 3 walks, and 2 earned runs. For the week, Baker's ERA was 4.59 with 10 total hits and 8 earned runs. Baker also shared time at second base.
GSAC Softball Player of the Week – Casey Arnold of Agnes Scott
Casey Arnold batted .364 on the week and .500 in conference play. She had two doubles and scored one run on the week. She went 4-for-11 overall and 3-for-6 in conference play. She had zero strikeouts and left zero runners on base. Arnold had zero errors on the week, splitting her time between the mound and second base.

The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
